This is how we spent our time waiting for Hurricane Ike, that's after we cleared everything out of our yard and made sure our emergncy prep. stuff was in order, of course.
I guess I didn't know what to expect, but I pictured the whole boarding up windows huddled in a corner kind of waiting for a hurricane. ;) Looks like a fun day off!
We are doing fine. We are far enough a way from the coast to not warrent boarding up for a cat 2 hurricane. A few people around here did, but not most. School is still out tomorrow. Chad is going to work even though he doesn't have to. We have downed trees and fences in our nieghborhood, but no flooding. We all slept in our room the night it hit. We lost power and water for a little while and are very grateful for our little 72 hour kit radio. I took some pics and will try to post them tomorrow.

How are you and your family doing? Did the hurricane hit you or cause storms and floods by you?
